ProTeam chemicals differs from other pool treatment systems. Their “unique formula” is ProTeam Supreme, a product that makes caring for your pool time and money-saving and refreshingly simple.

ProTeam Supreme and Supreme Plus are the best thing you can use and do for your pool. Supreme is a product that makes your pool water sparkling blue and easy on the skin and eyes, while helping to prevent algae growth. It also makes regular maintenance and sanitization simpler and less expensive. Supreme contains Borates which is a conditioner and enhancer for your pool that takes away algae’s breathing source, (i.e it suffocates algea) and makes algae unable to breed. Once Supreme is added the only way that Supreme is lost from your pool water is through filter backwash, splash out, or a leak, so there is no need to add extra product, add once sit back and enjoy the benefits.

Once you have added your Supreme or Supreme Plus you should follow 3 Weekly Steps to maintain your beautifully clear, healthy water.

3 Weekly Steps to Follow:

  1. Add ProTeam High Tech Tabs (Stabilized Chlorine) to Chlorinator or Floater (Having an Automatic Chlorinator is recomended over a floater.)
    • If you have a Salt Chlorination system at this Step you will want to test your salt, then adjust your % on your Salt Chlorinator accordingly.
  2. Shock Your Pool (Unstable Chlorine) 1x per week to break upChloramines. You will want to do this step at night when no one will be swimming in the pool and the sun is down.
    • Chloramines – are the bacteria attached to the chlorine in the pool, which is what makes the water have a strong chlorine smell, give you the red irritated eyes, itchy dry skin and more.
  3. Add ProTeam Micro Floc Clarifier, you will want to add 4oz per 10,000 gallons of pool water each week. This acts as an algecide and a prevention for algae.

Terms to Know:

Stabilized Chlorine – A Chlorine that had Cynuric Acid in it, usutally has CHLORO in its name.

  • ProTeam Pure Tabs – just Stablilized Chlorine, which has Cynuric Acidin it
  • ProTeam High Tech Tabs – has a small amount of Borates in it (use this with your Supreme and Supreme Plus
  • ProTeam Quick Shock, Zip Chlor – dissolves quickly, these areDichlors ( 1 of 3 types of chlorines)

Unstable ChlorineHypochlorite, NO Cyanuric Acid in it, just straight chlorine

  • Liquid Shock, ProTeam Shock & Swim, ProTeam Power 73 – are all unstable chlorine and don’t have any Cyanuric Acid in them

Cyanuric Acid – also called Stabilizer, Conditioner or UV Sheild – holds chlorine into the water so the chlorine does not dissipate out. It’s good to keep your reading at 50 ppm, (if you have a Salt Chlorinator try and keep your reading a little higher around 70-80 ppm)
